Capitana Discovers Why Reindeer Love Christmas

Capitana's rainbow hair bounced as she raced to the holiday petting zoo. Twinkling lights hung everywhere! "A real reindeer is here!" she squeaked, her fluffy tail swishing with excitement.

Dasher stood in the sparkly stable, his red bell jingling softly. But three little bunnies huddled behind a hay bale, too scared to come close.

"Why won't you say hello?" Capitana asked them.

"He's too big," whispered the smallest bunny. "And he's magic. What if he flies away with us?"

Capitana pulled out her notepad. She loved asking questions! But when she turned around, more young animals were hiding. Even a brave squirrel peeked nervously from behind his mother.

Dasher looked sad. His gentle brown eyes watched the frightened children. No one would come near him at all.
