Caprina's Dream-Catching Honey Recipe
Chapter 1: The Dragonfly's Lament

Caprina's antennae twitched as she adjusted the luminescent vials arranged like a constellation across her workbench. The clocktower hummed with the rhythm of the city below, its gears clicking a lullaby she'd grown to love since leaving the rigid hive. Here, in her sanctuary of glass and brass, she could create without boundaries.
A desperate tapping interrupted her meditation on a particularly stubborn batch of midnight-bloom honey. Through the curved window, Zephyr hovered unsteadily, her purple-silver wings trembling like wind-caught leaves.
"Please, Caprina," the dragonfly whispered as she entered, her voice thin as spider silk. Dark circles shadowed her compound eyes behind those tiny goggles. "The nightmares... they chase me even when I'm awake now. Colors that shouldn't exist. Falling through circuits and smoke."
Caprina's fuzzy body leaned forward as she examined her friend. Zephyr's wings had lost their usual shimmer, dulled by exhaustion. This required something beyond ordinary honey—something that had never been created before.
She reached for her tool belt, fingers brushing the familiar instruments. "The Moonlit Gardens," she murmured, more to herself than Zephyr. "There are nectars there that bend light itself."
But as she spoke, her workshop lights flickered. Through the window, she watched storm clouds gather above the neon-lit gardens, crackling with electromagnetic fury. The rare flowers only bloomed during calm nights, and the forecast predicted three days of chaos.
