Anny and the Glowing Star Map

Moonlight filtered through the window, casting long, quiet shadows across Anny's bedroom floor. Barnaby, her golden retriever, let out a long, fluttering sigh from his spot on the braided rug, his paws twitching in a deep slumber. Anny lay under her quilt, her large blue eyes wide open, tracing the familiar cracks in the plaster ceiling. She shifted her shoulders, smoothing down her comfortable blue shirt with the little orange fox on the front, but sleep remained far away. "Why is the night so quiet, but my mind is so loud?" she whispered to the empty room. Suddenly, a tiny, luminescent speck drifted down from the ceiling, glowing with a soft, buttery light. It hovered just above her nose, humming like a sleepy bumblebee. Anny's blonde ponytail bounced gently against her pillow as she tilted her head. She reached up, her small finger gently tapping the floating light. Instantly, the plaster ceiling dissolved. A deep, velvety darkness expanded above her bed, bursting with millions of swirling, glittering constellations that bathed the entire room in a breathtaking, restless cosmic glow.
