The Lost Map of Coral Island

Nikola sat on the weathered dock, his feet dangling over the crystal-clear Caribbean waters. The salty breeze played with his ponytail as he examined an old, partially torn map he had discovered tucked inside an abandoned sea chest. The map showed half of a mysterious island, with faint markings that looked like they might be part of a treasure location.

His mother's words echoed in his mind: 'Every map tells a story, and every story has a purpose.' Nikola knew this map was special. The edges were frayed, and water stains covered parts of the parchment, but something about it felt important.

Just then, an elderly sailor named Captain Rodriguez approached him. 'That map belonged to the merchant family that was shipwrecked last season,' he said softly. 'Their children have been searching for a family heirloom - a golden compass that was lost during the wreck.'

Nikola's heart raced. He knew the merchant family's children, and the thought of helping them reunite with a treasured memory made his decision clear. 'I want to help complete this map and find their compass,' he declared, his dark eyes gleaming with determination.
