Chapter 1: The Crumbling Tower

Star skipped through Troll Valley, her rainbow hair bouncing with each step. She clutched her favorite ruler from Troll Academy, the one she'd used for her first big project. "Today's the day!" she announced to the morning sky.

Ahead stood the ancient Hillside Tower, its stones crumbling against the green hills. Star had dreamed of rebuilding it for weeks. It would be the tallest structure in all of Troll Valley!

She raced to the base and pulled out her measuring tape. One block. Two blocks. Three blocks high—easy! Star climbed the first level and grinned. But when she looked up at how HIGH the tower needed to go, her stomach flip-flopped.

Her hands started shaking. Her purple-blue eyes went wide. The ground seemed so far away already!

"I can't do this," Star whispered, climbing down fast. She sat on a rock, her tool belt jingling sadly. How could she build the tallest tower if she was afraid of being tall?
