Star Builds a Bridge for Jungle Friends

Star bounced through the Emerald Jungle, her rainbow hair catching sunlight between the towering trees. Her tool belt jingled with every step. She'd received an urgent message from Moss that morning—something about trouble at the ravine.

"Star! Star!" Moss chittered from high above, swinging down on a vine. His golden fur bristled with worry. The little monkey tugged at Star's overalls, pulling her toward the sound of rushing water.

When they reached the ravine, Star gasped. The ancient vine bridge lay in pieces far below, its thick ropes frayed and broken. On the opposite side, dozens of monkeys huddled together, chirping sadly. Baby monkeys clung to their parents.

Moss pointed across the gap with his curled tail, then touched his stomach. He made eating motions—the fruit trees were all on the other side!

"Don't worry," Star said, adjusting her yellow hard hat. "I'll build you a new bridge!" She pulled out her toy ruler and measured the distance with her eyes, just like she'd learned at Troll Academy.

Then Star looked down. The ravine was deeper than she'd thought—much deeper. A waterfall crashed somewhere far below, hidden by mist. Her sturdy troll hands trembled slightly.

This would be the biggest thing she'd ever built. Could she really do it?
